Cosima Fasel grew up in southern Germany and completed her medical studies in Hungary and Hamburg. As a physician, she began working in surgery in 2014 at a hospital near Hamburg before starting her training as an ophthalmologist in 2016 at an eye clinic in Karlsruhe. After working at the Pallas Klinik Zurich under the direction of Prof. Maya Müller and with Prof. Matthias Becker at the eye clinic of the Stadtspital Zürich Triemli, she spent several years working at an ophthalmology practice in Thun. Since mid-June 2026, she has been part of the team at the Berner Augenklinik, providing medical care for patients of the Berner Augenzentrum.
